Actor Raghava Lawrence is encouraging differently-abled individuals to pursue Mallarkalai, the traditional martial art of the Tamil people.
Known for his compassion and consistent support towards underprivileged and differently-abled communities, Raghava Lawrence continues his humanitarian efforts. In his latest initiative, he has been actively promoting the participation of differently-abled individuals in Mallarkalai, a proud and ancient martial art form of Tamil heritage.
Sharing a video on his social media that features differently-abled individuals excelling in Mallarkalai, Lawrence remarked:
“Even for people with both hands and legs in full function, balancing and climbing the Mallarkambam pole is difficult. So imagine how challenging it is for differently-abled individuals to do the same. But when they take on that challenge and succeed, it becomes their livelihood — something that helps them support their families.”
He further appealed to the public:
“To those watching this video — please consider giving these talented individuals an opportunity to perform at your family functions, festivals, and other events. The support you extend could truly change their lives.”
