Karunakaran starrer “KUTRACHAATTU”- An Emotional Family Drama Thriller is all set for release
Filmmaker Vimal Vishnu is making his debut directorial with the film “Kutrachaattu’, an emotional family drama with thriller elements. The filmmaker owns a commendable experience of 16 years in the Malayalam film industry and Media Advertisement sector. Besides, he has worked as assistant director in the movie ‘Beware of Dogs’. Actor Karunakaran, who befittingly suits the content-driven protagonist, character and comedian role is essaying the lead character in this movie. The others in the star cast include Bharath, Dinesh Prabhakar, Munna Simon, Riyaz Khan, Shivani (Child Artist) and others. Brana is playing the female lead role in this movie.
Director Vimal Vishnu says, “There are many Tamil settled colonies in Kochi, and Kutrachaattu is a fictional take on an underprivileged family of father, mother and their loveable daughter settled in the neighbourhood. When their dotted child gets killed brutally, and the culprit is acquitted in the court, the innocent father ventures out to seek justice for his daughter. The film is narrated in non-liner writing with six different layers. Everyone, who has watched the film till now, are happy with the final output. This film will be an amalgamation of emotional and thriller moments that will appeal to they interests of audiences from all walks of life. We have completed the film’s shooting, and the post production work is on final stages now.”
Suresh Nandan is composing music, and Nithin Sekhar RK is handling cinematography. The others in the technical crew include Parthiban (Editor), Effects & Logics (VFX), iGene (DI), Siva (Colorist), Super Good Studios (Dubbing), AS Lakshmi Narayanan (Mixing and Mastering) are the others in the technical crew.
Rajesh Madhavan, Sajani Rajesh, Dhyan Shankar are producing this film for their production house of Divine Blockbusters.

எமோஷனல் ஃபேமிலி டிராமா திரில்லராக உருவாகியுள்ள ‘ குற்றச்சாட்டு ‘ படம் மூலம் இயக்குநராக விமல் விஷ்ணு அறிமுகமாகிறார். மலையாளத் திரைப்படத் துறையிலும் ஊடக விளம்பரத் துறையிலும் 16 வருடங்கள் பணிபுரிந்த அனுபவம் மிக்கவர். தவிர, ‘நாய்கள் ஜாக்கிரதை’ படத்தில் உதவி இயக்குநராகப் பணிபுரிந்துள்ளார். கதையின் நாயகன், குணச்சித்திர கதாபாத்திரம் மற்றும் நகைச்சுவை நடிகராகவும் வலம் வரக்கூடிய நடிகர் கருணாகரன் இந்தப் படத்தில் முன்னணி கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடித்துள்ளார். நடிகர்கள் பரத், தினேஷ் பிரபாகர், முன்னா சைமன், ரியாஸ் கான், ஷிவானி (குழந்தை நட்சத்திரம்) மற்றும் பல முன்னணி நடிகர்கள் இதில் நடித்துள்ளனர். இப்படத்தில் பிரானா கதாநாயகியாக நடித்துள்ளார்.
இயக்குநர் விமல் விஷ்ணு கூறும்போது, “கொச்சியில் பல தமிழர்கள் வசித்து வருகின்றனர். அப்படி கொச்சியில் குடியேறிய அப்பா, அம்மா மற்றும் அவர்களின் அன்பு மகள் இவர்களை சுற்றி நடக்கும் கதைதான் ‘குற்றச்சாட்டு’. அவர்களின் குழந்தை கொடூரமாக கொல்லப்பட்டு, குற்றவாளி நீதிமன்றத்தால் விடுவிக்கப்படும் போது, அப்பாவி தந்தை தனது மகளுக்கு நீதி கேட்க முயற்சி செய்கிறார். படம் ஆறு வெவ்வேறு அடுக்குகளுடன் நான் லீனியர் முறையில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதுவரை படத்தைப் பார்த்த அனைவரும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்துள்ளனர். இந்த படம் அனைத்து தரப்பு பார்வையாளர்களின் ஆர்வத்தையும் ஈர்க்கும் வகையில் எமோஷனல் மற்றும் த்ரில்லர் தருணங்களின் கலவையாக இருக்கும். படப்பிடிப்பை முடித்துவிட்டோம். போஸ்ட் புரொடக்ஷன் பணிகள் தற்போது இறுதிக்கட்டத்தில் உள்ளன” என்றார்.
