Actor Murali Sharma, known for his memorable performances across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema, is all set to be seen in the upcoming pan-Indian investigative thriller ‘Operation Tral’. On the occasion of his birthday, the makers have officially announced the actor’s association with the film, which stars Jayasurya in the lead and is written and directed by Ratheesh Vega.
With a career spanning several languages and a wide range of characters, Murali Sharma has established himself as one of the most recognisable and versatile performers in Indian cinema. From intense dramatic roles to commanding characters in action-driven narratives, the actor has consistently brought a distinctive presence to the screen. His addition to ‘Operation Tral’ further strengthens the film’s ensemble cast and its pan-Indian appeal.
In ‘Operation Tral’, Murali Sharma will be seen in a prominent role, sharing the screen with Jayasurya and an ensemble that includes Rithika Singh, Kavya Shetty, Anson Paul, Nandalal Krishnamoorthy, Vinay Rai, Siddique, Sai Kumar and Sirajudheen.
Mounted on a large scale, ‘Operation Tral’ is an investigative thriller set against the backdrop of national intelligence operations. Inspired by a notable encounter between Indian armed forces and terrorists in Tral, Jammu & Kashmir, the film combines action, intelligence operations and a strong patriotic narrative.
The film has been shot across multiple locations including Kerala, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Kulu, Manali, Mussoorie and Ladakh. Produced by Joby George Thadathil under the banner of Goodwill Entertainments, the film is gearing up for a worldwide release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
Jayasurya plays the central character, with Ratheesh Vega handling the writing and direction. Sunimol Joby is the co-producer.
Cinematography is by Najose and editing is by Shafeeque V.B. Ratheesh Vega also composes the music and background score. Project design is by Noble Jacob, production design by Sajeesh Thamarassery and art direction by Suneesh Sodharan.
